Do you like to play, sing and have fun with children?

Do you want to support the growth, development and well-being of children and families in the Cowichan Valley?

Become a Parent-Child Mother Goose Facilitator!

Parent-Child Mother Goose (PCMG) is a program for parents and children to learn songs, rhymes and stories. This program is designed to nurture parent-child relationships and foster family wellness, while enhancing communication skills, parenting strategies, socialization and healthy child development.

The cost of this two-day training program is funded through the Cowichan Valley Mother Goose Community Collaborative (CVMGCC), Our Cowichan Communities Health Network (OCCHN) and School District 79 funding dollars. We are looking for committed individuals to receive this two-day facilitator training at no cost, in exchange for a commitment of facilitating three programs over a two year period in the Cowichan Valley. If you are interested in this training, but do not plan to facilitate three traditional PCMG programs in the Cowichan Valley, you can still participate in this wonderful training opportunity for the cost of $225.00.

Each Parent-Child Mother Goose Program is eight weeks, one hour in length, with time required for both pre and post program preparation, clean-up and record keeping. The PCMG program is offered in various locations seasonally. An honorarium will be provided for each facilitator and program delivered. A partnership between School District 79 (SD 79), Chemainus Crofton Community Schools Association (CCSA), Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL), and Island Health (IH) will provide ongoing support and coordination of the PCMG programs.

Facilitating a Parent-Child Mother Goose Program is fun, rewarding and invaluable to children and their parents!!

Please contact Bonnie Potter or Wendy Lambert for an application form! Thank you.
