National Indigenous Peoples Day is celebrated on June 21st each year. This is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding
contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. Today and all days, we honor, respect,
appreciate and value the countless contributions of First Nation, Inuit and Métis People across
Canada, and we commit to learn and grow from events of the past. The Parent-Child Mother Goose Program is committed to reconciliation, and committed to be a program that is inclusive and culturally safe for all participants. We encourage Parent-Child Mother Goose programs to begin their sessions with a land acknowledgement,
to give thanks and honour the traditional territories of the Indigenous Peoples.
